Ledum groenlandicum

Common Labrador Tea

Inflorescence Side in Ground

Hudson Bay Regional Park
19-June-2009

The inflorescence is a corymb.  This is a type of raceme where the lower pedicels are longer than the upper ones, producing a flat-topped or slightly concave flower cluster.  The outer flowers mature before the inner ones.

I am following Flora of Alberta by treating L. groenlandicum and L. palustre as separate species.  Budd's Flora classifies the former as L. palustre var. latifolium the latter as L. palustre var. decumbens
