The ligule is the limb of the ligulate corolla and is attached to the end of the corolla tube. The anthers are united to form a tube around the style.  The style emerges from the apex of the anther tube and divides into two branches at this point. In the upper picture, the style branches have not separated yet. In the lower picture, they have separated.
