The leaves have been numbered to clearly show how the leaves change in size from bottom to top.  The lowest leaf is #1 and the highest leaf is # 20.  The largest leaves are in the middle.

Note that the key to the species in Flora of Alberta requires leaves 1-3 mm wide.  In fact, the widest leaves can be somewhat wider than 3 mm.
